Once men, they slowly improved their body over time, seeking power and eternel youth.
But after the Great Fall, they could no longer find the drug that abled their capacity to feel through their metal bodies.
Now, cursed, they wander in the deep shadow of space, looking for anything that may give something resemblant of a feeling.
The only way they find it is by extracting and rapidly connecting the nerve of their diying victim,
so they can feel their last stream of pain.
